The Berrima is a celebration of leather in its simplest form — structured, sculptural and made entirely by hand.
Crafted from vegetable-tanned leather and hand-dyed in a rich Walnut finish, every variation in tone forms part of the character of the hide and the hand-finishing process.
Traditional hand tooling travels across the front, back, integrated handles and closure, with every impression individually worked into the leather. Antiqued brass hardware complements the deep Walnut tones, including the individually riveted leather tabs that wrap around the base and sides of the bag.
At the centre sits a statement tooled closure, finished with the Rae & Rue maker’s mark, while the cut-out handles form part of the bag itself, giving The Berrima her distinctive structured silhouette.
The tooling continues around the back and through the smaller details — a piece designed to be beautiful from every angle.
