Crafted from vegetable-tanned leather and hand-dyed in a rich Walnut finish, every variation in tone forms part of the character of the hide and the hand-finishing process.
Traditional hand tooling travels across the body and lid, with complementary detailing continuing onto the strap and base. Antiqued brass hardware complements the deep Walnut tones, including the individually riveted leather tabs that wrap around the base of the bag.
A wide adjustable tooled leather strap allows The Walcha to be worn comfortably across the body or shortened to sit closer on the shoulder. Her structured bucket shape is finished with a fitted leather lid and securing strap, keeping the contents tucked neatly inside while maintaining her distinctive silhouette.
The details continue into the places that are often overlooked. The base is fully hand tooled and stamped with the Rae & Rue maker’s mark, with further tooling and maker’s details worked throughout the piece.
